Relaxation is a natural state. In Yoga Nidra we take the mind to a point of consciousness where we can consciously touch on the physical body to awaken the subtle energy within the body, and remember what this natural state feels like. It's a bit of a paradox in that when we slow the body down we create the opportunity for great internal work. Using the stillness to access the enormous potential for reducing stress and suffering, opening the doors for further healing and rejuvenation.
There will be discussion on what Nidra is followed by a few gentle movements, then a 60 minute guided "Savasana" (Nidra), or a deep conscious sleep state with deep awareness.
Cost $30 (includes GST)

"Relaxation does not mean sleep. Relaxation means to be blissfully happy; it has no end. I call bliss absolute relaxation; sleep is a different matter. Sleep gives only mind and sense relaxation. Bliss relaxes the ātma, the inner self; that is why, in tantra, Yoga Nidra is the doorway to Samādhi.” - Swami Satyananda Saraswati
